Cordial Anyone?
On our last trip to the school we were able to buy new photocopier, cleaning equipment and school supplies. We had a fun day for the kids playing games and then a small celebration with treats they don’t often get and really don’t take for granted. Just lollipops, muffins and cordial can create an enormous reaction.
We also had an afternoon tea at our house for the teachers. They are doing a great job with so little and with lockdown it is tougher than ever.
We are continuing to pay Pretty, the pre-school carer each month as there is no government assistance for her. We manage to keep one of the local men employed to keep the school grounds clear of high grass, so snakes and other nasties are kept away.
We would like to get a new computer for the school next trip as well as the usual school equipment.
For a while now we have been trying to think of a plan to give each of the kids a birthday party and a present. Some of them don’t even know their birthdate much less had a celebration. We are thinking of maybe having a big one off school party and give all the kids a small present on the same day. It would be a day to remember and we’re sure the kids won’t mind a joint celebration.
Once again THANK YOU all for your support
